Last Support Update Before I Leave!
This Thursday. This flippin Thursday! It's finally here. I can't believe that this wild and crazy adventure starts now. It's insane.
This is going to be the final update about where I'm at in raising support before I head out to Kona. I will be continuing to update while I'm there, but the next few days are absolute chaos so I won't have a chance to get on and post anything.
First off, I want to say thank you to everyone who has kept me in their prayers over the past 4 months since this whole process began. Crazyness. It's been so awesome to see God completely take control over the adventure! I am so greatful to have so many people in my life that care about me and have been praying for me. It is truly amazing to think about the support that I've been given!
I also want to thank everyone that has donated financially in order to make this happen. When I first got accepted I didn't realize exactly how much money was needed. I knew the number, but didn't really grasp how much it would actually be that would have to come in. It has been truly amazing to see the money come in from the craziest places. It has also been so comforting to see God comfort me in the times of stress and chaos by having a check or word of encouragement come in at the exact moment that I needed it most. Thank you so much for all of your support!
I am almost there on the funding! I've had about $7,300 come in so far! I'm shooting for $9,000. Please continue to pray that funds will come in and that I will be fully funded! If you would like to support me you can still send cash or a check to my house and it will get into my account. It's so close! You know you want to be the one to put me over my goal ;)

Big Milestone!
I know it's Saturday, but I just wanted to send everyone an update about how the yard sale went!
It was an amazing turn out today! There was an incredible amount of things donated and I want to thank everyone who contributed. It really means a lot to me that everyone pulled together for me! The amount of people that came was amazing! I made a total of $1,140.14 in the garage sale!!! There are also some bigger items that are currently on craigslist so that number could potentially go up! It's so awesome to see what happened today!
With this money made, it means I have both reached and surpassed the next level of where I need to be financially! I currently have a total of $6,550 raised! That means that my deposit for my outreach part of the schooling (which is due on October 28th) is completely covered! That's insane. As of two weeks ago I had about $2,800 raised, and now I am ahead of where I need to be!
Thank you very much to everyone that has been supporting me! It's been extremely encouraging to have you all backing me up throughout this. I'm not quite fully funded, but it is a lot closer! Keep it up! :)

Raising Support Update #8
LESS THAN THREE WEEKS TO GO! I wonder if my excitement is coming out in this update...It's getting so close!
As of right now I've had $4,110 come in! PRAISE JESUS! I am completely covered for the first half of this adventure. What this means is that my schooling portion is 100% covered!
With that step done, I am able to go into my yard sale and have 100% of the profits go towards my outreach portion of the trip. With the first $4000 done, that means any support that comes in from this point on goes towards the $2500 deposit that's due on October 28th, as well as the rest of the funding that's due in November.
God is doing FREAKING AMAZING THINGS right now with this. Just a week ago I was at the $2800 mark and I got word that I had a long way to go...Now I'm completely covered for the *first half* and on my way into the second half! I have a few different ways that money's going to be coming in too! I know that I have another $400 guaranteed, but I'm waiting to add that to the total to see if it may be higher.

Raising Support Update #7
Exactly 4 weeks away! It's coming up so freaking quick. Starting to get down to the wire on fundraising. As of right now I've had $2,675 come in. Thank you everyone!
I also want to thank everyone that has donated items for the yard sale. I've had several things come in and I am very appreciative of that. I'm really hoping that this will bring me the rest of the support I need for this portion of the cost.
Please continue to keep me in your prayers! It's starting to get very close very quickly and I still have a long way to go in order to be fully funded. God's really stretching me through this process. It's difficult but I know that God is using this to mold and break me.
If there's anything that I can do in order to raise some cash please let me know! I would love to do anything needed to raise the money. Need help in the yard? I got you! Need your garage cleaned? I'm your guy! Anything I can do in order to raise the money I would be more than happy to do.
I found out a bit more information regarding when the money is due. As you know, the first $4000 is due the day I get there (September 29th). There is a deposit due for the outreach portion on October 28th. The amount for this deposit is $2500. The remainder of the funding is due on the 23rd of November.
